On a MAC, click Go -> Connect to Server -> choose: vnc://hoover1213-encoder-mini.engineering.iastate.edu
The encoder mini window will open -> click on Broadcast -> Broadcast Settings
Click on Browse below -> Desktop -> Spring 2012 -> EM 324 -> EM324_L01.mov -> Save
Choose the Annotations tab -> Type: EM 324 Lecture 01: 01-11-12
Click Save
Minimize the screen on the MAC
2. Go to 1213 Hoover and access the instructor's computer
Turn on projector, set to "Lectern Computer"
Log in to computer
username: !engr_presenter
password: *use the encoders/general password to access: Usernames-Passwords page in the ELO Training Wikispaces. Else, this password will be given to you or you may ask for it.

A window will open and do the following:
Start Microphone
Click on Connect my audio (microphone symbol)
Click: allow
Start Webcam
Click on Webcam symbol on top
On the left click on Start Sharing
Share Desktop
Click on Share my screen in the middle
select Desktop, and click Ok.
Pull out Revolabs, unplug, click button once to unmute
Test revolabs
Set up Smart Notebook
Open Desktop Presenter (if it is not already minimized on the PC)
Start Adobe Connect Recording
Go to Meetings -> Record Meeting -> Type:EM 324 Lecture 01: 01-11-12
Start Panopto Recording
Click: Record
3. Go back to the Control Room and on the MAC, encoder for 1213 that you used for Wirecast:
Start Primary Wirecast
Maximize the encoder screen on the MAC
Click: Record, a blue arrow should appear
Check audio levels on the right side
Monitor/View/Listen to the lecture on Adobe Connect
Headphones should be hanging from the back of the MAC
Monitor the Adobe Connect chat in case there is any communication from students or the professor.
After the Lecture
1. Stop Primary Wirecast
Click on Record (the blue arrow should disappear)
2. Go to Hoover 1213
Stop Adobe Connect
Click on the red dot at the top right
Click on End Meeting
Stop Panopto Recording
Click on Stop
In the case that the wirecast recording failed, instructions on how to post a Panopto video are detailed in the Panopto page in the ELO Training Wikispaces.
Save Notes
Click File -> Save -> Desktop -> Spring 2012 -> EM324 -> Lecture Notes -> EM324_L01_01_09_12.notebook -> Save
Click on File -> Export -> PDF -> Desktop -> Spring 2012 -> EM324 -> Lecture Notes -> PDF -> EM324_L01_01_09_12.pdf -> Save
Email PDF to self to insure transfer
Plug revolabs back in and hide behind Wacom (tablet)

Go to the Meetings tab in grey
Click on Shared Meetings tab in red
Click on Engineering - LAS Online Learning (ELO)
Select Spring 2012 EOL Credit Courses
Find EM324
Click on Recordings
Select your recording -> click on Make Public -> Edit -> Click on the recording title: EM 324 Lecture 01: 01-11-12 -> Edit Recording (A window will open with the recording) -> Select the part you want to cut with the arrows and click on Cut ->Save -> Exit the page. Edit the beginning, exit and then edit the ending by clicking on Edit Recording again.
On another tab, open the Class Blackboard
Click on Adobe Connect Recordings -> Build -> Website
On the title write: EM 324 Lecture 01: 01-11-12
On the URL, Copy+Paste the weblink that is given in the Adobe Connect Recording from before.
Publish
Post Wirecast Video
On a MAC desktop open Encoder Files folder -> Go into your class EM324 -> Pull up .MOV File -> Click on File -> Export -> Desktop -> on the bottom choose As Apple TV -> Edit the video by pressing "i" whenever you want the lecture to start and "o" for the ending -> Click on Edit -> Trim to Selection -> Save -> Export to eocs1 -> firma -> EM324 -> on the bottom chose as .MOV File
Check the videos on Blackboard
Log in to Blackboard -> Choose the class EM324 -> on Adobe Connect Recordings check that the correct edited lecture video opens, on Lecture Videos and Annotated Notes check that the correct edited lecture video opens and so do the notes.
Before the Lecture
1. Set up Wirecast recording
